Whisk the eggs, butter, and sugar together until the mixture is light and foamy. Add in vanilla and Nutella to the mixture. Then, add the cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Pour the brownie mixture into your parchment paper-lined baking pan before dropping more Nutella on top of the brownies in tablespoon-sized dollops.
Next, add in the eggs, one at a time. Whisk each egg in vigorously until it’s completely incorporated, before adding in the next one. When all the eggs have been added, fold in the flour, baking powder, and salt until just a few streaks remain. Then fold in about 2/3 of the chocolate chips and the vanilla.
Set aside to cool slightly. Combine egg, sugar and vanilla. In a separate large bowl, using a hand mixer or whisk, beat together the eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until thick and pale about 5 minutes on medium speed or 10 minutes by hand. Combine wet ingredients.
Preheat the oven to 350 F and lightly grease an 8x8 or 9x9 pan. Combine the butter and sugar in a medium heatproof bowl. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring each time, until the butter is melted. Alternatively, stir in a pot on the stove over medium-low heat.
